The reason is that PGSD study program students, I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta and Ni Luh Puspa Pratiwi have once again made their alma mater proud in a national level competition namely Essay Contest Echo Event which was organized by fthe Departmental Student Association of Basic Education FIP Undiksha, centered in the FIP Seminar Room, Friday (23\/12\/2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the annual event, Angga and Puspa succeeded in gaining Silver and Bronze medals after presenting two innovations in Augmented Reality-based learning media which were initiated to increase literacy in &#8220;Satua Bali (Balinese Story Telling)&#8221; and support inclusive education especially for children with hearing impairments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To Public Relations, Angga explained that low reading literacy in Indonesian society is a concern of the government, especially in Bali. For this reason, the Ministry of Education and Culture launched the School Literacy movement as an effort to foster the students\u2019 character. To support this, he and the team designed learning media integrated with technology to support the local cultural literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe see that there are learning materials that are relevant to the government policies regarding the school literacy movement, and we think this can support the preservation of local culture, especially Satua Bali,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the student born in 2002 expressed his happiness after successfully gaining a medal for the umpteenth time. He is optimistic that in the future he can take part in similar competitions and occupy the top position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOf course, I am very grateful, praise God to be able to win again in the essay competition. The target in the next competition is to win first place,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, Puspa explained that the lack of relevant learning media in the implementation of inclusive education, especially for the deaf, was the main factor in creating this learning media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe combine Balinese culture and Technology in it. Apart from games in the form of hard copies, this media is also equipped with supporting applications according to the characteristics of Special School students in which there is sign language so they can apply the media,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This beautiful female student who is now in her 5th semester said she was proud to be able to collect medals for her beloved faculty again. She also said that the innovation would be further developed so that it could be useful in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is very impressive, after so many months of hiatus, I am grateful to be given the opportunity to win again. In the future, maybe I will make the product to be applied in society, &#8220;continued Puspa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brilliant achievement was welcomed by the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe achievements that Angga and Puspa have achieved are extraordinary. It&#8217;s not easy, especially since there were so many participants,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vice Dean from Medahan Village, Gianyar emphasized that the leaders do support students to participate in various competitions. It has been demonstrated by funding, coaching, and mentoring.
