18 STUDENTS AND 2 FIP LECTURERS RECEIVED AWARDS FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF INTEREST, TALENT, AND REASONING IN 2019

In 2019 Undiksha succeeded in receiving achievements from hundreds of its students, at provincial, national to international levels. Undiksha as an institution gives its appreciation in the form of awards. Friday, July 24, 2020, an award ceremony was held for outstanding students and lecturers in the fields of interest, talent, and reasoning.

The activity which took place in the Undiksha Auditorium was attended by Undiksha Leaders, Faculty Leaders, Lecturers, and Outstanding Students. In its implementation, it still pays attention to health protocols. All attendees wore masks, kept their distance, and used hand sanitizer. The opening began with remarks from the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. In his speech, Jampel said that ranking is important to increase trust in Ganesha University of Education. He appealed to the Dean and BEM REMA to motivate students to excel again, hoping that they would be comparable to international students.

A total of 18 students and 2 lecturers at the Faculty of Education received awards for their achievements in the fields of inquiry, talent, and reasoning in 2019. Seeing the current pandemic conditions, 2 representatives of the 18 students were asked to take part in the award presentation ceremony. They are Ida Ayu Kadek Sri Puspita Dewi, an Elementary School Teacher Education student, the representative who won 1st place at the national level in the PKM FIP-JIP Panca National Competition in Malang and Gede Cris Smaramanik Dwiqi, student of Educational Technology, the representative who won 1st place in the national Ormawa Website Competition in the 2019 FIP-JIP Indonesia Forum Pentathlon. The lecturer category was attended by Dewa Gede Agus Putra Prabawa, S.Pd., M.Pd as Supervising Lecturer in Reasoning at the National Level, and Drs. I Wayan Sujana, S.Pd., M.Pd as Supervising Lecturer in Reasoning at the National Level. Outstanding students and lecturers were given medals and given folders as a symbolic form of appreciation, ending with a group photo session.

Deputy Dean 3 of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd said that he was very proud because many students had received awards at the national level who were supervised by lecturers who were qualified in their fields. “My impression is that the Faculty of Education has a student body “is the largest in Undiksha, therefore there should be many achievements in the Faculty of Education, that is also our plan and our target for the future,” said Aditya. In the future, Aditya said that he would develop a student achievement program by contributing the achievements achieved to extracurricular lecture activities so that students would be accustomed to achieving more than just coming to campus, sitting down, and going home. This program will also be supported by the readiness of FIP Undiksha in preparing the budget. Aditya said the budget prepared was quite large. It is hoped that in 2020 FIP can provide more achievements as a contribution to the Faculty and University.
