The Faculty of Education is holding activities again International Conference on Technology and Educational Science (ICTES). This activity was carried out from Wednesday to Thursday (11-12/11/2020) which was held online. This activity is held every 2 years as an international conference event.
The theme raised this time is the New Era of Education, Innovation, and Practice. This theme was chosen because it is closely related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of holding this activity is “to provide a forum for researchers, academics and practitioners regarding the development of technology and education, especially the latest innovations that combine learning with current technology so that effective learning can be realized,” said the chairman of the committee, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi ., M.Psi., Ph.D.
The participants in this activity were 109 presenters and 207 participants consisting of academics, practitioners, lecturers, and teachers. Participants in this activity were predominantly from Indonesia, but several participants came from Australia, Japan, and Malaysia. “This activity has keynote speakers and invited speakers who are experts and practitioners in their respective fields related to research, education, and technology,”. she said.
This activity is carried out in a parallel session which provides a forum for presenters who have registered and collect their abstracts for presentation. During the presentation activities, discussions were also held to help provide new ideas for further research.
“We hope that in the next two years, the third ICTES activity can be more successful than this activity because our current condition is in a pandemic, so what was initially designed directly has changed completely into online “This is a challenge in itself for the committee to gather and combine participants and make the activities run well,” she added.
