Singaraja – Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) student, Putu Cincin Cindra Dewi from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) succeeded in making his alma mater proud, after winning a gold medal in the artistic female single category, the 2022 Udayana Rector Cup Championship organized by Udayana University (Unud) on October 13-16, 2022.
On this occasion, the proud athlete of the largest university in the North Bali, managed to occupy the top position with a record score of 453 after eliminating warmadewa and IPSI Udayana athletes in the final match last Saturday, October 15. This achievement made Undiksha the third overall champion at the annual event. The success of the athlete born in 2002 could not be separated from the result of special training carried out for 1 year. It was also conveyed that this event was a momentum to prepare physically and mentally in welcoming the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) and the National Student Sports Week (POMNas) in 2022.
“I have done training for 1 year, as well as preparing the welcoming Porprov and POMNas,” she said.
Furthermore, Cincin said she was proud of the achievements she had achieved. She hopes that in the Porprov XV/2022 event, she can achieve a gold medal again for FIP Undiksha.
“The target in the future is hopefully I can achieve a gold medal in the welcoming Porprov ,” she concluded.
This achievement received full appreciation from the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd. He hopes that FIP’s achievements can continue to increase both in the National and even International event. Supporting that, the steps taken are of certainly by coaching, mentoring, and preparing funding.
“As a step to maximize achievements, we have prepared funds, conducted coaching, and mentoring. I hope that this achievement can motivate other students to excel in various competitions,” he concluded. (PR Dewa Nida)
