Singaraja – Students of Faculty of Education (FIP) of Undiksha demonstrated their existence again in singing. This time the achievement came from the National Competition Singing Contest which was held by Ahmad Dahlan University, Saturday (10/12/2022). At this prestigious event, two Undiksha FIP students, Yogi Martogi Siboro from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) won the 1st place in Men’s after singing the song Pilu Membiru (Kunto Aji) and Not Ready to Lose (Steven Pasaribu). Meanwhile, I Ketut Sukrisnawan from Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) who performed the songs Pilu Membiru (Kunto Aji) and Belum Siap Kehilangan (Fabio Asher) succeeded in winning the 2nd place in Men’s. Her success in gaining achievements, of course, cannot be separated from the guidance of her supervisor, Gusti Ayu Putu Sukma Trisna, S.Pd., M.Pd.
To Public Relations, the student with golden voice expressed his pride after being awarded the title of champion. Furthermore, Yogi Siboro emphasized that his achievement would be a stepping stone in participating in international level competitions.
“I am very happy to be able to bring the name of FIP Undiksha in this event. I hope to be able to take part in competitions at a higher level,” said Yogi.
The same thing was also expressed by I Ketut Sukrisnawan who is familiarly called Iwan. He hopes that through this achievement, his party can continue to develop the potential to become even better. The student who was born in 2000 also invited all FIP students to always innovate so that they can compete in the national and even international event.
“I hope that I can continue to learn to be even better, for my friends, don’t be afraid and hesitate to explore your inner abilities. The more we try, the more we know what we have to improve in the future, “continued Iwan.
This brilliant score received full appreciation from the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd. He also conveyed that the two mainstay singers of FIP would be prepared to strengthen the Faculty of Education in the upcoming Undiksha XXX Anniversary Week.
“This achievement is extraordinary, yes, our students do not only excel in the fields of reasoning and science, but also in non-academic fields. We will develop and train again so that we are ready to take part in competitions at the upcoming Undiksha Anniversary, “he said.
The Vice Dean from Medahan Village, Gianyar emphasized that the leaders really supports the students to participate in various competitions. Support has been demonstrated by funding, coaching, and mentoring. He also conveyed that as a form of appreciation, this achievement would be equivalent to course grades with the hope that students would be more enthusiastic in participating in various competitions.
