Singaraja – Faculty of Education (FIP)Undikshahas succeeded in producing new professors in 2023 whose inauguration took place at the Auditorium of Undiksha, Thursday (19/01/2023) for Undiksha’s 30th Anniversary series. The title of Professor is carried by Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd., who is also Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of FIP Undiksha. On this occasion, Prof. I Wayan Widiana became the youngest professor among the 16 professors confirmed by Undiksha. He who was born in Karangasem, Bali became the first professor in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) in the field of Basic Education Measurement and Evaluation.
To publicrelations, Prof. I Wayan Widiana said that his success in holding the professor title could not be separated from the support of various parties, Undiksha leaders, deans, family and colleagues. Furthermore, he admitted that his achievement in occupying the highest functional position was his dream and hope since he was a child.
“In the future I want to develop knowledge in the field of thinking skills, especially in elementary schools, and later I hope to be able to develop the ability to think in harmony,” he hoped.
The man who was born in 1985 hopes that he will be able to inspire lecturers in PGSD study programs in particular and FIP in general to be able to achieve their highest degree.
“Friends, who have potential, good research results, please publish them. Then for those who already have good research, don’t hesitate to move on to the next stage,” he advised.
In line with that, the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., gave high appreciation to the new professor at Undiksha. Furthermore, the number one person at the largest university in the stretch of North Bali is targeting by 2025 Undiksha will be able to have 100 professors. Supporting this, the Rector of Jampel encouraged Head Lectors and those who met the requirements to immediately submit proposals.
