Singaraja– The Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) Student Executive Board (BEM) successfully held the 2023 Student Organization Leadership System National Workshop on Wednesday (17/5/2023) morning. This activity, which was held in the Auditorium, Postgraduate Building, is an annual program in field 5 (Organization) of BEM FIP Undiksha which aims to increase students’ knowledge and understanding regarding leadership systems.
National Workshop with the theme “Building the SoulLeadership As an Agent for National Renewal” was officially opened by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., who was accompanied by Deputy Dean I and III FIP Undiksha, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., with a lively beating of the gong.
This annual activity succeeded in attracting the participation of more than 800 students who attended both online and offline. As many as 200 people attended in person, while more than 600 other students took part in the event online. The participants’ enthusiasm was sparked by the presence of competent resource persons, namely WKU Public Relations, Creative Economy, Cultural Tourism DPD IWAPI Bali, Nyoman Hartini
To Public Relations, Nyoman Hartini explained the importance of joining organizations as a way to gain knowledge outside the campus environment. He hopes that the knowledge gained about organizations can become an investment in the future and be applied in society.
“Organizations are like investments, what we do now will determine our future,” he stressed.
Apart from that, the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., also expressed his hope that through this activity, students can develop understanding and leadership skills. He hopes that graduates of the Undiksha Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) can play an important role in leadership in various sectors.
“Through this activity, apart from students having an understanding of leading, they will also understand the meaning of being led. Don’t just focus on the ability to lead, it is also important to have the ability to accept leadership. “In this way, it is hoped that great leaders will emerge in the future from Undiksha,” he concluded.
In addition, the 2023 National Workshop on Student Organization Leadership Systems was held for two consecutive days, namely on Wednesday, 17 May 2023, and Thursday, 18 May 2023.
