Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha through the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) received a Field Work Lecture (KKL) visit from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto (UMP) with the aim of building collaboration in the field of education. This visit was held on Monday, May 15 2023 morning.
The arrival of the UMP PGSD Study Program Coordinator, Dedy Irawan, M.Pd., and his entourage was warmly welcomed by the Head of the Basic Education Department, Drs. I Made Suarjana, M.Pd. In his speech, Drs. I Made Suarjana, M.Pd., who represented the Dean of FIP Undiksha, expressed his hope that this visit could strengthen harmonious relations between the two universities.
This event was held in two locations, namely the Ganesha 3 Building and the Undiksha General Seminar Building. In Ganesha Building 3, after the opening, UMP students received a presentation of material by the Undiksha PGSD Study Program Coordinator presented by Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., with the title “Building 21st Century Learning Skills in the Era of Independent Learning.” This material provides valuable insight for UMP students in facing the challenges of modern education. Meanwhile, at the Undiksha General Seminar Building, Undiksha PGSD students were given the opportunity to listen to material presentations by two PGSD FKIP UMP lecturers. Dr. Subuh Anggoro, M.Pd., presented material with the title “Joyful Learning in Elementary School,” while Dr. Sriyanto, M.Pd., delivered material with the title “Differentiated Learning in the EraSociate 5.0.” These materials provide new insights to Undiksha PGSD students in various learning contexts.
To Public Relations, PGSD FIP Undiksha Study Program Coordinator, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that PGSD FIP Undiksha is always ready to receive visits from outside to form collaborations which will certainly be very beneficial for students.
“When there are friends (from other universities) who want to visit, it means they trust us, so we will definitely facilitate and welcome them,” he stressed.
In an interview with Public Relations of FIP Undiksha, Head of the PGSD FKIP UMP Study Program, Dedy Irawan, M.Pd., also expressed his hopes for this KKL activity. He hopes that the material presented in this activity can provide great benefits for students from both universities. UMP students can gain knowledge and insight from Undiksha lecturers, and vice versa.
“We hope that the material presented in this KKL is useful for students. “UMP students can gain information and knowledge from Undiksha lecturers, and vice versa, Undiksha students can also gain knowledge from UMP lecturers,” he explained.
Furthermore, he hopes that this collaboration will continue and be followed by further collaborations.
“When cooperation is established, it is hoped that in other activities such as national or international seminars, students or lecturers from both universities can participate actively. “Apart from that, UMP is currently participating in the PMM (Independent Student Exchange) program, where I hope that UMP students can choose Undiksha as an exchange place, and Undiksha students are also expected to consider taking part in activities at UMP,” he said.
