Singaraja– Cluster 4 Elementary and Technology Education Educational Technology Study Program (TP) and Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha, were successfully visited by the Agency for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of Study (AQAS) on Wednesday – Thursday, 01 – 02 February 2023 centered in the Undiksha FIP Study Program Meeting Room. On that occasion, 5 Expert Panels were present including Prof. Dr. Vicente Antonio Vallejo Pijano III, Peter Hoffmann, Prof. Dr. Janne Fengler, Dr. Faisal Madani, and Belinda von Freymann, as well as 2 AQAS Consultants, namely Doris Hermann and Maria Rentmeister. His arrival was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., accompanied by Deputy Deans, Department Heads, and Study Program Coordinators within FIP Undiksha.
The first activity, Wednesday (01/02/2023) began with a discussion by the Expert Panel and AQAS Consultants with the Dean’s Staff, followed by a discussion with teaching staff in the PGSD and Educational Technology study programs, then ended with a review of the Faculty of Education’s infrastructure. Then on the second day, Thursday (02/02/2023) there was a discussion with postgraduate teaching staff for Masters, and Doctoral programs, as well as students and alumni.
After the activity, Cluster 4 Team Leader, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., hopes that this visitation will run smoothly according to shared expectations. He, who is also the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at FIP ??Undiksha, said that in its implementation there were various obstacles, such as human resources who were not fluent in English, and this was a challenge in the future to be able to take part in the international arena. Nevertheless, his party assessed that the team had tried their best to answer questions from the expert panel in accordance with the SER sent.
“Constraints do exist, English language skills seem to need to be improved, because to become an institution, an internationally accredited study program must have that competency. “We have tried hard, collaborated with various parties, and hopefully we can achieve Unconditional status,” he explained.
Furthermore, the official from Panji Village, Buleleng added that FIP ??Undiksha will continue to improve programs in faculties, departments, and study programs which must lead to international classes, as well as collaboration with various universities abroad.
“Accreditation is a means to continue to improve the quality, processes, and outcomes of learning, and we must pursue these standards,” he continued.
The Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi. His party expressed their happiness and gratitude for the smooth running of the visitation. He assessed that this accreditation had a positive impact on improving the quality of service to stakeholders, of course, this was in line with the tagline “FIP METAKSU” Serving is not limited to just words.
“We have prepared this well, trying to provide maximum service to the expert panel. We leave the results to God. “I also thank all parties who contributed, worked together, worked hard, and worked smart to make this International Accreditation a success,” concluded Gading.
Elsewhere, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., is optimistic that Cluster 4 Elementary and Technology Education can achieve the Unconditional title. This can be seen from the harmony created by the entire Undiksha Academic Community in welcoming the arrival of assessors so that the visitation can run well.
“I am confident that I can achieve maximum results because I saw that Undiksha accepted the AQAS team which was extraordinary, there was a coolness in my heart and we also felt that from that. “So that in implementation we are not tense and can answer all questions well,” said Jampel.
