Singaraja – Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) students have once again demonstrated their existence in the field of singing. This time the achievement came from the National Competition Singing Contest held by Ahmad Dahlan University, on Saturday (10/12/2022). At this prestigious event, two FIP Undiksha students, Yogi Martogi Siboro from the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program, won 1st Place in Men after singing the songs Pilu Membiru (Kunto Aji) and Not Ready to Lose (Steven Pasaribu). Meanwhile, I Ketut Sukrisnawan from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) who performed the songs Pilu Membiru (Kunto Aji) and Beruhan Wound (Fabio Asher) successfully won second place for men. His success in gaining achievements, of course, cannot be separated from the guidance of his supervisor, Gusti Ayu Putu Sukma Trisna, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Speaking to Public Relations, the student with the golden voice expressed his pride after successfully winning the title of champion. Furthermore, Yogi Siboro emphasized that his achievements would be used as a stepping stone in participating in international-level competitions.
“Very happy to be able to bring the name of FIP Undiksha to this event. I hope to be able to take part in competitions at a higher level,” said Yogi.
I Ketut Sukrisnawan also expressed the same thing. He, who is familiarly called Iwan, hopes that, through this achievement, his party can continue to develop its potential to become even better. The student who was born in 2000 also invited all FIP students to always innovate, so they can compete on the national and even international stage.
“I hope that I can continue to learn to be better, friends, don’t be afraid and hesitate to explore your inner abilities. “The more we try, the more we will know what we have to improve in the future,” continued Iwan.
This brilliant achievement received full appreciation from the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd. It was also conveyed that the two FIP mainstay singers would be prepared to strengthen the Faculty of Education in the upcoming Undiksha XXX Anniversary Week.
“This achievement is extraordinary, our students not only excel in the fields of reasoning and science but also in non-academic fields. “We will develop and train again so that we are ready to take part in the competition on the Dies Natalis later,” he stressed.
The Deputy Dean from Medahan Village, Gianyar emphasized that the leadership supports students in participating in various competitions. Support so far has been demonstrated by funding, coaching, and mentoring. It was also conveyed that, as a form of appreciation, this achievement would be equivalent to course grades, with the hope that students would become more enthusiastic about taking part in various competitions.
“We, the leadership, are committed to continuing to provide appreciation, both in the form of flayers, grade conversions, and even providing incentives to students who win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at national and even international levels,” continued Aditya. (hms Dewa Nida)
