Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha, held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Evaluation and Reporting of the 2022 FIP Undiksha Simkatmawa Cluster, semi-online centered in the FIP Undiksha Seminar Room, Friday (09/12/2022) by inviting the Deputy Dean of FMIPA UNNES, Dr. Parmin, S.Pd., M.Pd., UGM Academician, Suherman, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Belmawa Staff, Alamul Huda, S.Ip., M.Hum., as source person.
This activity was attended directly by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., accompanied by the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of Department and Study Program Coordinator at FIP ??Undiksha. Apart from providing material from resource persons, the activity was also filled with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to outstanding student affairs supervisors, namely Drs. I Wayan Sujana, M.Pd., and I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta from the PGSD Study Program, as the best outstanding students in 2022.
In his speech, the Dean of FIP, Prof. Gading, who represented Undiksha Deputy Chancellor III, said that his party appreciated the achievements that FIP ??students had achieved throughout 2022.
“Student achievement has been relatively good, compared to other faculties at Undiksha. However, this achievement is not optimal, and we must improve further,” he said.
Furthermore, the number one person in the Faculty of Education emphasized that the leadership continues to strive to improve the achievements of Simkatmawa in the future, the steps taken are of course by providing coaching and mentoring, to build student character and competence.
“I think this activity is an effort to improve what was not good in the past. “Because the quality of graduates is not only determined by lectures but also in non-academic fields,” continued Gading.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the Committee, I Made Hendra Sukmayasa, M.Pd., assessed that student achievement had increased significantly from previous years, however, there were several things that the Simkatmawa Gugus team was concerned about, to maximize Simkatmawa’s future achievements.
“This year’s achievements are quite satisfactory, they have improved but we need to improve further, especially in student participation. “I hope that the lecturers who teach courses can require students to take part in various competitions,” hoped Hendra.
Speaking to Public Relations, I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta, expressed his pride after being named the best-achieving student. He, who is familiarly called Angga, said that this achievement was the result of hard work and smart work carried out over a year. Furthermore, he hopes that in the future he will be able to achieve success again, especially on the international stage.
“Of course, I am very happy to be in this position. I would like to advise my fellow students to always work and hone their soft skills. In the future, I hope to achieve even more achievements,” he said. (hms Dewa Nida)
