Padang, West Sumatra – Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) student, Putu Ring Cindra Dewi, from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) successfully made her alma mater proud at the XVII/2022 National Student Sports Week (POMNas) which took place at Padang State University ( UNP), Padang City, West Sumatra, last week. The proud female silat fighter of FIP Undiksha successfully won a Bronze Medal in the women’s singles arts category with a record score of 441.
Speaking to Public Relations, the beautiful virgin who is familiarly called Ring said that her achievements could not be separated from the results of special training undertaken for 1 year. His success in gaining bronze is a matter of pride. The reason is, in this prestigious event they faced world-class athletes directly.
“Very proud, because in this event, most of my opponents came from Platnas and some were even world champions. So, I am very grateful to be able to win the Bronze Medal,” he said.
Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., appreciated this achievement. According to him, this is very good in supporting Simkatmawa’s ranking. It was also conveyed that as a form of appreciation, the leadership had prepared incentives for students who succeeded in winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as an effort to motivate students to continue to excel.
“Students who win, we will provide incentives from the faculty, at the end of the year, so that they continue to fight for themselves, the faculty of education, and also Undiksha,” continued Adit.
Furthermore, the Deputy Dean from Medahan Village said that the leadership continues to strive to improve student achievement. The steps taken, of course, include coaching, mentoring, and preparing special funds.
“We at FIP ??have created scientific, arts, and sports communities, as a step to improve student achievement. Apart from that, we will also convert 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners into course grades,” he concluded.
