Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha implements the International Internship Program in Australia. This program is a program that is responsible for the Undiksha Faculty of Education and International Cooperation Group. This program involved 4 students from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, who were released directly by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., on Thursday (2/11/2023). The release of these 4 students was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., chairman and member of the FIP Undiksha Cooperation and International Group, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., and Dewa Ayu Puteri Handayani, S .Psi., M.Sc.
Reporting from the official Undiksha portal, Undiksha Chancellor, Prof. Lasmawan expressed his appreciation for the program implemented by FIP Undiksha, as well as his appreciation to students who were enthusiastic about taking part in this international program. This program is expected to continue to grow and students are expected to be able to motivate other students to take part in the same or similar programs to make Undiksha an internationally Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL).
Member of the Cooperation and International Group, Dewa Ayu Puteri Handayani, S.Psi., M.Sc.., said that this program aims to provide more international exposure to students so that students can improve academic quality and encourage student careers both in the academic and professional fields. Apart from that, it is hoped that this program can broaden students’ horizons and motivate students to continue their studies abroad.
“Students will depart on November 13, 2023, and their program there will be implemented until November 30, 2023. The activities they will carry out there are making observations, helping teachers with preparations, and studying the curriculum and assessment strategies used there.” Dewa Ayu Putri said to Public Relations.
Students will carry out an internship at one of the schools in the City of Melbourne, named Pascoe Vale Primary School. In the course of this program, the support from the Institution and Faculty was very intense. “The institution provides Visa fees to students, and Fakutlas will pay 65% ??of the price of round-trip tickets and students’ passports. Students will live inHouse Family where for transportation you will be picked up and picked up when you go to school and you will get breakfast and dinner,” said Dewa Ayu Puteri. (hms Desi Pratiwi)
