Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha conducted psychological tests on Buleleng contingent athletes in anticipation of the upcoming XV/2022 Bali Provincial Sports Week (Porprov). The test was a form of implementation of the collaboration between FIP Undiksha and KONI Buleleng, which was centered at the FIP B Lecture Building on Sunday (25/09/2022) morning, which was attended by 484 athletes from 43 sports that competed. On this occasion, the Dean of FIP Undiksha Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., assigned FIP Academic Psychologist, on behalf of Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., Dewa Ayu Puteri Handayani, S.Psi., M.Sc., Dewi Arum Widhiyanti Metra Putri, S.Psi., M.A., and Dewa Gede Firstia Wirabrata, M.Psi., Psychology.
During the activities, Nice Maylani said that there were 2 types of tests, namely a general intelligence test and a personality test to find out how motivated the athlete’s achievement was. He emphasized that the tests used as parameters for this assessment had been validated according to age and level of education. This academic who graduated from Hiroshima University said that he and his team were fully committed to the successful implementation of the test.
“My team and I will maximize the implementation of this test. “The measuring instruments we use are standardized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” said Nice.
He hopes that this psychological test can help coaches maximize the athletes who will be deployed later.
“Hopefully this test can help coaches find out the condition of the athletes who will compete later,” she continued.
In line with that, Deputy Chair II for Sport Science and Achievement Development, as well as the Sport Intelligence Sector, KONI Kab. Buleleng, Dr. Made Budiawan, S.Ked., M.Kes., AIFO., said that this test was a pilot program to make KONI Buleleng’s tagline “Small is Gold” a success. He, who represents the General Chairperson of KONI Buleleng, really appreciates FIP Undiksha for taking part in supporting the provincial-level sports event that will be held.
“Hopefully this can be a momentum for the FIP psychologist team, in building an extraordinary reputation,” he hoped.
Furthermore, it is hoped that this collaboration can continue to be established and developed so that in the future athletes who excel can continue their education at the Undiksha Faculty of Education.
