Denpasar– The Faculty of Education (FIP) continues to strive to improve infrastructure in order to create more effective learning, not only on the Singaraja campus, but also on the UPPBM Denpasar campus. Supporting this, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) built a lecture building located on Jalan Raya Sesetan, Denpasar. On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., along with the Deputy Deans accompanied the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., and staff at the inauguration of the lecture building which was marked by the laying of the first stone (Groundbreaking) on ??Friday (02/09/2022) morning.
In his speech, Chancellor Jampel emphasized that the development budget was sourced from Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of the Undiksha Public Service Agency (BLU), worth IDR. 17 Billion. It was also stated that the construction of this three-story building is expected to be completed in December 2022. He emphasized that improving this infrastructure is in order to create a learning process that is comfortable, safe and of course representative.
“We want the lecture building, which was constructed from PNBP BLU Undiksha, to fulfill the requirements as a lecture hall, which according to the contract we can use in January 2023,” he stressed.
This development was welcomed positively by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, I Ketut Gading. He assessed that with the realization of this building, it would certainly be possible to add facilities to support the needs of students in Denpasar. Furthermore, he hopes that this development can proceed according to plan, so that it can be maintained and utilized well by the academic community at UPPBM Denpasar.
“We hope that our services in the future will be better, so that the learning process can take place well, and the quality of graduates will also increase,” he hoped.
The number one person in the Faculty of Education also hopes that the Denpasar campus can continue to be developed, to open new prospective study programs in order to improve superior and competitive Human Resources (HR).
“Hopefully the Denpasar campus can open new prospective study programs, of course not only in FIP but also for other faculties and postgraduate studies,” he concluded.
For your information, this building carries the Green Campus concept (Green Campus) with a flexible design, equipped with 19 lecture rooms, lecturer rooms, courtrooms and a library, said Development Planning Consultant, Ar. Ari Setiya Wibawa, S.T., M.M., I.AI., GP.
“Undiksha bases all its construction on a green campus design which of course saves energy, so this building does not cost a lot when operational,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Physical Commitment Making Officer (PPK), I Gede Supriyadi, is optimistic that this project can be completed according to the target that has been set with a guarantee of three shifts of work. Supporting this, his party involved a monitoring team in order to expedite the implementation of this development.
