Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha received a visit from the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Buleleng Regency, on Friday (19/08/2022) at the FIP Undiksha Dean’s Room. The visit was in the context of cooperation related to preparations for the selection of Buleleng Regency athletes, in anticipation of the upcoming XV/2022 Bali Provincial Sports Week (Porprov). The arrival of the Chairman of KONI and his staff was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., accompanied by the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Academic Psychologist FIP ??Undiksha, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., and Dewa Ayu Puteri Handayani, S.Psi., M . Sc.
In making this prestigious event a success, the General Chairperson of KONI Kab. Buleleng, I Ketut Wiratmaja said that apart from carrying out stage 1 and 2 physical tests, as well as organizational performance tests from each district sports branch administrator, his party and the team will also carry out psychological tests to determine the mental readiness of the athletes who will compete later. Therefore, his party came to FIP Undiksha to ask for help in making the psychological test a success. It was also said that his party gave the highest appreciation to the leadership at the Faculty of Education for contributing to the success of this activity as a form of collaboration.
“Through this test we want to find out howSporting Spirit, andFighting Spirit them in facing the upcoming Bali Porprov. “We will reorganize it by utilizing this psychological test as one of the parameters for our departing athletes,” he said.
It was confirmed that Dean Gading welcomed this collaboration positively, he hoped that by carrying out psychological tests, the athletes who were prepared to represent Buleleng in Proprov later would have good mental readiness. On this occasion, his party assigned FIP Undiksha academics who have competence in the field of psychology, on behalf of Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., Dewa Ayu Puteri Handayani, S.Psi., M.Sc . along with the team, to help carry out the test. “If this test is successful, hopefully, KONI-KONI will look at other districts, even at the provincial level, so that we can help KONI in selecting athletes, especially in psychological tests,” he concluded.
