Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) provides opportunities for students to get to know the world of work to improve their skills and competitiveness. This is demonstrated through the student employment program. This program is also an implementation of the independent campus and independent learning policy rolled out by the Ministry of Education and Culture. “This is one form of implementation of this policy,” said Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Finance, Administration and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd.
12 students were selected who had passed the previous selection. Selection is carried out strictly by involving an independent team. These 12 people were placed in several sections per the needs analysis carried out by Undiksha’s Human Resources (HR) section. The division consists of 4 people in the Finance section, 3 people in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) section, 2 people in the Sports section, and 3 people in the Public Relations section.
One of the students from the Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of Education, successfully passed the selection for this student employment program. She is Dwi Ayu Ratnasari. The post of Head of BEM, Faculty of Education, received the opportunity to work in the public relations department. By his/her competence in the field of communication science. Competencies obtained while studying in the Educational Technology Study Program, “I am interested in joining this program to be able to apply the knowledge I gained in college, I want to train my independence at work. Hope, me personally, I can become a more responsible person, ready to work in any situation and condition. I also hope that in the future, if this program continues, more students will register and take part in this program,” said Ratna.
Ratna and other student employment participants will be on duty for the next 5 months from 7 August 2020 to December. With maximum working hours of 6 hours and wages according to general university fee standards. The rules regarding this program have been agreed upon by signing a work contract on August 6 2020 between the University and students.
