Dewi Meylani, a 4th-semester student of the Educational Technology Study Program, is trying to hone her talents by taking part in a poster competition at the Creadenation 2020 event organized by Diponogoro University. Various preparations have been made within 1 week. Starting from reading the competition rules, making posters, reviewing, and finally uploading. However, she said she was hampered by ideas, however, thanks to the motivation of many people, especially her supervisors and parents, Meylani managed to complete her poster. “The supervisor’s role also really guided me in the process of making the poster,” said this individual competition participant.
With the trust of the study program lecturers, Meylani is confident that her work will produce the best results, “I took part in this poster competition also because of the study program lecturers’ invitation and trust in me.” Even though she was not able to win this, Meylani was still happy to have had the opportunity to take part in this event, “I felt very enthusiastic about taking part in this competition because it was supported by lecturers, friends and also parents. “I’m also happy to have the opportunity to take part in this Undip competition event.”
In the poster entitled “Prevent COVID-19 Using the UNDIP Method”, Meylani conveys the steps intended for the UNDIP method. Regarding the competition system, Meylani said “The competition system is good, but there are still irregularities in the originality of the champions who still use the template on Freepik but are still won. Or maybe the assessment system or what, I don’t know either.”
Meanwhile, Dewa Gede Agus Putra Prabawa, S.Pd., M.Pd as the competition supervisor also appreciated Meylani’s hard work, “Even if you don’t win, the important thing is that you tried and tried.” Finally, Meylani also advised other students, “Keep working during this pandemic, whatever it is. And stay healthy. Success in his studies even though he was hit by a disaster like this.”
