The Covid-19 pandemic invited various experts to speak and share the knowledge they have to deal with this condition. One of them is information shared by Dewa Gede Firstia Wirabrata, M.Psi., Psychologist. In the Undiksha Sharing media, Firstia took the topicHow To Deal With Adversity (Tips for Facing Difficulties/Accidents). This lecturer who works in the field of psychology presented his background in choosing the topic “My background in taking that topic is more due to the pandemic, so the pandemic itself is a difficulty or accident so many aspects are affected by the existence of this pandemic and both in terms of social, relational or in terms of income, the economy is such that I am very interested in providing knowledge to the community so that they are resilient against difficulties and accidents during this pandemic”, he said.
In the 1 hour online lecture, the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education lecturer explained tips for dealing with adversity with CORE. C (control) which means control of how society can control a conflict, then O (origin and ownership) means source and owner, so it’s about how to identify the source of the conflict experienced, for example from hoax news, R (reach) means range, it is about how we limit the scope of the problem, and E (endurance) means endurance about how long we can face difficulties/accidents.
This lecturer, who is familiarly called Dode, feels very happy to be a resource person at Undiksha Sharing, because according to him “when we share we will feel happy”. Unmitigated, he became a resource person for the second time on June 22 2020 on the topic of Early Detection of Personal Psychological Obstacles. Apart from that, participants who were not only students but the general public from different fields of expertise also gave positive responses. He also hopes that this activity will continue and can provide information that Undiksha has superior human resources.
