Singaraja –Undiksha’s Faculty of Education (FIP) is expanding its international collaboration by sending lecturers, staff, and students abroad. Previously, students and lecturers from the Holy Cross of Davao College, Davao City, Philippines had come to FIP Undiksha, now it is FIP Undiksha’s turn to give students international experience from global citizens.
5 Lecturers and 1 FIP Undiksha employee have been selected to be Guest Lecturers related to the Undiksha Inbound Academic and Cultural Exposure program at Holy Cross of Davao College, Davao City, Philippines, on 23 – 27 January 2024. The purpose of this departure is not only to deliver 11 students undertaking internships, but this activity also extends to wider collaboration, namely Guest Lectures, Join Research, and Community Service at Indonesian schools in the Philippines. Educators who visited the Holy Cross of Davao College participated in sharing knowledge through Public Lectures, as well as presenting research proposals to find colleagues who wanted to join the proposals that had been made.
One of the lecturers assigned as Guest Lecture, Dewa Gede Firstia Wirabrata, S.Psi., Psychologist, who is also the PGPAUD Study Program Coordinator, hopes that holding this program can expand collaboration between Undiksha and Holy Cross of Davao College.
“Hopefully through this activity, the academic community from both universities can have an internationalization experience. “This is also our effort to create global citizens who can understand each other’s culture and ethos of cooperation, and exchange knowledge, thoughts, and ideas so that the future can be even better,” he said.
Besides that, PGSD Study Program Coordinator, Dr. Putu Nanci Riastini, S.Pd., M.Pd. found something interesting when he came to Holy Cross of Davao College. “What’s interesting is that the students there are very disciplined and polite, what’s more, they are very polite and welcome our presence very well,” he said.
