Singaraja – Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha has held a seminar full of innovation to create a more efficient and accountable educational environment. The event called “Seminar on Government Internal Control Environment Development” took place successfully in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Education, Undiksha (31/10/2023).
On this occasion, the presence of key faculty policymakers, including the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Chair of SPI Undiksha, I Wayan Krisna Eka Putra, S.Pd., M.Eng. as well as a team of representatives from SPI Undiksha. Also present were the Deputy Dean, educational staff, and staff of the Faculty of Education.
This seminar reviews several strategic steps taken to strengthen government internal control in the Faculty of Education, including understanding the concept of internal control, risk evaluation, development of policies and procedures, internal audits, accountability and transparency, reporting and monitoring, training, and awareness raising, consultation and external audits, as well as the active participation of students and staff. Apart from that, the seminar also discussed evaluation and continuous improvement, implementation of a code of ethics and integrity, as well as commitment from leadership and faculty resources.
With increasingly strong government internal control efforts, it is hoped that a more efficient, accountable, and transparent educational environment can be created. Apart from that, it is also hoped that the operations and policies of the Faculty of Education can run more smoothly and avoid corruption. It is hoped that the steps taken will have a positive impact on advancing education at Undiksha and provide great benefits for students and the general public. (hms)
