Singaraja – The Faculty of Education (FIP) Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) has once again made a brilliant achievement, winning an award in the 2023 FIP JIP Outstanding Lecturer Selection competition. This prestigious event was held at the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) at Yogyakarta State University and was attended by 12 universities throughout Indonesia, including Unimed, UNJ, UNY, Unnes, Unesa, UNG, UM, UNM, UPI, Undiksha, UNP, and Unima. Of these tough competitors, FIP Undiksha managed to occupy third place thanks to the extraordinary performance of Dr. I Kadek Suartama, S.Pd., M.Pd., a renowned lecturer in the field of Educational Technology (06/72023).
The achievements that Dr. I Kadek Suartama and his active involvement in the field of educational technology have brought him to the top three in this highly competitive competition. Over the last five years, he has developed six innovative learning methods, one of which is the “learning method”Context Aware Ubiquitous Learning Based Case Methods and Team Based Project” which is revolutionary. Apart from that, he also has an impressive portfolio of 28 patented learning products (HKI). His latest book entitled “MOBILE UBIQUITOUS LEARNING: Study of Self-Management in Learning, Learning Activeness, and Learning Results” also received wide praise.
In an exclusive interview with the FIP Undiksha public relations team, Dr. I Kadek Suartama, S.Pd., M.Pd., attributed his success in the 2023 FIP JIP Outstanding Lecturer Selection to his continuous motivation to develop innovative teaching methods through research and advanced learning products.
Furthermore, Dr. I Kadek Suartama, S.Pd., M.Pd., emphasized the important role of support from the Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) in achieving success in this competition.
“The faculty provided tremendous support throughout this journey, especially in terms of timely information, so that I could prepare well. “Apart from that, the support and facilities provided by the leadership are also very meaningful,” he said.
At the end of the interview, Dr. I Kadek Suartama, S.Pd., M.Pd., shared his hope that his achievement as an outstanding lecturer in the 2023 FIP JIP Lecturer Election will be a trigger for his colleagues to continue to adopt innovation in teaching and research. “To all my fellow lecturers at FIP, I am sure that you have carried out your duties in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education well. However, let’s continue to innovate in our teaching and research efforts. Most importantly, let’s disseminate and properly administer the results of our innovations so that they can easily adapt to future competencies. “I believe that is the key to achieving extraordinary results in terms of competency and accreditation,” he concluded optimistically.
