Singaraja –The Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) Student Executive Board (BEM) successfully held the 2023 Social Service, with the theme of a day with a foster family on Thursday (26/10/2023). The activity which was held in Bengkala Village was attended and opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., who was accompanied by the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Komang Sudarma, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Student Affairs Supervisor at BEM FIP Undiksha.
This social activity targets people who are deaf and speech impaired, to foster a sense of mutual help between living creatures. Another aim of this social service is to foster a sense of caring for others as a form of practicing Tri Hita Karana.
It lasted two days, and it didn’t feel like the series of activities had gone through, starting from the opening on the first day. Then, on the second day, there was a day of activities with the foster families, closing, and continued with games involving elementary school children and other foster children.
Chairman of the Committee, Anak Agung Gede Agung Dalem hopes that this social activity will continue because it can have a positive impact on life.
“By carrying out this activity, I hope that a sense of mutual help will continue to grow among BEM FIP functionaries even to the community, and will later be able to foster a high sense of tolerance and care between fellow living creatures, especially the people who live in Bengkala Village,” he said.
