Singaraja– Curriculum changes at each level of education are sought to keep up with the needs and challenges of the times. So curriculum changes become part of a wide-scale public policy that involves massive components of time, expertise, funds, equipment, sacrifice, and will. Changes resulting from the obsolescence of the previous curriculum require an in-depth study of various educational components.
In response to this, the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program, Faculty of Education (FIP), Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) dissected the curriculum and courses in it on Friday (26/11/2021). The activity with the theme PGSD Study Program Curriculum Workshop Towards an OBE (Outcome Based Education) Based Curriculum in Era Society invited two resource persons, namely elementary school principals and PGSD FIP Undiksha alumni to review the courses that would be taught by PGSD lecturers.
Met outdoors, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the PGSD Study Program, explained that the preparation of the curriculum involved various parties, such as the curriculum team at the PGSD study program, inviting school principals, teachers, and PGSD alumni. In this activity, the curriculum that has been prepared is reviewed by the school principal as a PGSD alumni user. The creation of this curriculum also follows the policies that have been made by the Institute, and monitoring of the curriculum is carried out every year.
“The PGSD curriculum also refers to Merdeka Belajar, Merdeka Campus. As in the fifth semester, students are given the freedom to take three courses in other study programs on campus. “In the sixth semester, they can take 14 credits of off-campus education and in the seventh semester they can take an internship which is equivalent to 14 credits,” Marguna explained. Marguna hopes that the curriculum used in the PGSD study program is an integrated, integrated curriculum and can be implemented in the field. So that the things discussed now bring goodness and perfection to the PGSD curriculum.Hms FIP Undiksha.
