Singaraja– Undiksha’s Faculty of Education (FIP) succeeded in producing new professors in 2023 whose inauguration took place at the Undiksha Auditorium Building, on Thursday (19/01/2023), a series of Undiksha’s 30th Anniversary. The title of Professor is held by Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd., who is also Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance at FIP ??Undiksha. On this occasion, Prof. I Wayan Widiana became the youngest professor among the 16 Professors inaugurated by Undiksha. He, who was born in Karangasem, Bali, became the first professor in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) in the field of Basic Education Measurement and Evaluation.
To Public Relations, Prof. I Wayan Widiana said that his success in holding the title of professor cannot be separated from the support of various parties, including the Undiksha leadership, the Dean’s staff, family, and colleagues. Furthermore, he admitted that his achievement in occupying the highest functional position had been his dream and hope since childhood.
“In the future, I want to develop knowledge in the field of thinking skills, especially in elementary schools, and later I hope to be able to develop harmonious thinking skills,” he hoped.
The man born in 1985 hopes that he will be able to inspire lecturers in the PGSD study program in particular and FIP in general to achieve their highest degrees.
“Friends who have potential, and good research results, please publish them. “Then for those who already have good research, don’t hesitate to move on to the next stage,” he said.
In line with that, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., gave high appreciation to the new professor at Undiksha. Furthermore, the number one person at the largest university in North Bali is targeting that by 2025 Undiksha will be able to have 100 professors. Supporting this, Chancellor Jampel encouraged Head Professor lecturers and those who have met the requirements to immediately submit proposals.
“I am sure that the addition of professors at Undiksha will accelerate Undiksha to achieve its goals,” he said. (hms Dewa Nida)
