Undiksha Thematic KKN students held a farewell event on Thursday (03/12/2020) at Wantilan, Timbul Traditional Village, Gianyar. This activity was attended by the Village Head, Chairman of the BUPDA of Timbul Traditional Village, FIP Leaders, and supervisors.
This activity has been carried out for 4 months from 18 August to 03 December 2020 offline while still adhering to Health protocols but not staying in the area. There are 5 Thematic KKN participants who come from the 5th-semester Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program. To take part in this Thematic KKN, students take part in a selection from the study program, then students who come from the KKN area are selected until they pass and are assigned to develop a tourist village. through thematic wealth work programs.
Thematic KKN is a real work course that has a focused activity program orientation on a particular field in accordance with societal problems and the direction of development policies implemented by the government of a particular region (district/city). This KKN aims to build a tourist village, especially in the Timbul Traditional Village. “The work program that we have implemented is paper flower nursery, path arrangement trekking, making spot selfie“, arrangement of Subak galleries, promotion of tourist attractions, educational seminars and teaching programs,” said Village Coordinator Wahyudi Putra.
“In the future, through this program, we will be able to build tourist villages and continue to develop them for various other villages,” he added.
