Singaraja– Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) Student Executive Board (BEM) completed a series of National Level XVIII Characteristic Youth Selection events, 2022 at the Undiksha Singaraja Auditorium Building, Friday (28/10/2022). After going through a series of very strict assessments, the remaining top 10 finalists will compete for seats for young people with good character in each category. Insight tests related to Ipoleksosbudhankam, Character Education, Character Education, Independent Learning Campus (MBKM), and Independent Curriculum, are some parameters in this prestigious event which is a routine agenda for BEM FIP Undiksha.
After the activity, Head of Higher Education Services (LLDikti) Region VIII, Dr. Ir. I Gusti Lanang Bagus Eratodi, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN.ENG., APEC.Eng., really appreciated the event organized by BEM FIP Undiksha. He assessed that this activity was in line with the policy of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Makarim, B.A., M.B.A., regarding educational transformation, in this case strengthening character education. Furthermore, he hopes that this PRB event can be recorded in the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
“We are proud of FIP, this activity is very much in line with the Minister’s policy direction. “By holding this activity, FIP has become one of the things that promotes Undiksha’s good name at the Ministry of Education and Culture level,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., assessed that the selection of young people with good character was one of the barometers of achieving FIP Undiksha’s vision as a Trendsetter Faculty in Asia. The number one person at FIP ??Undiksha emphasized that the Faculty of Education is at the forefront in terms of character development for the younger generation.
“We hope that the finalists will be able to become a driving force so that more and more young people will have good character. “I think FIP Undiksha is a pioneer in paying attention to the development of character, which is currently the focus of education throughout the world,” he said.
As host, I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta, from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) FIP Undiksha, succeeded in winning the Mendikbudristek trophy, after performing well in the grand final on Friday night with a score of 81.80. His success was followed by Kadek Edy Sukarma, from the Faculty of Medicine Undiksha with a score of 79.19 as 2nd place, and Hana Salsabila Firdausi, from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) with a score of 78.24 as 3rd place.
Meanwhile, in the student category, the top position was achieved by Ni Komang Sri Mahyoniasih, from SMA Negeri 3 Denpasar with a score of 73.79. Then followed by I Putu Reza Wedangga, from SMA Negeri 1 Blahbatuh, Gianyar with a score of 73.67 as 2nd place, and Ni Putu Messaluna Aurillia Santi, from SMA Negeri 1 Tabanan with a score of 73.16 as 3rd place.
