Singaraja – The Bali contingent was once again successful at XX PON 2021. This time the achievement came from the sport of Cricket. The Sports Week held on the land of Cendrawasih can lead the Island of the Gods to glory. This brilliant achievement cannot be separated from the contribution of FIP Undiksha students. Ni Nyoman Kerti Kuntari succeeded in recording a new history of achievements for the Alma Mater. The competition took place at the Doyo Baru Cricket Field, Sentani, Kab. Jayapura, Papua, Monday (04/10/21) morning the Bali Cricket team successfully finished, winning a Gold Medal after defeating East Kalimantan, with a score of 1 point ahead.
Confirmed via Whatsapp, Ni Nyoman Kerti Kuntari expressed her happiness at being allowed to strengthen Bali, especially the women’s cricket team, in this year’s PON event.
“I am very proud and grateful to be able to strengthen the Bali Cricket contingent in this year’s PON event because of course there are still many good players out there who want to join and strengthen the Bali team,” he said with mixed emotions and pride.
The success of this female athlete from Denpasar City cannot be separated from the results of the special training carried out before appearing at the XX Papua PON event. Winning this gold will be the capital for the next event.
“I cannot forget to thank the support from coach, parents, and seniors who provided support during the match. “Hopefully I can provide even better things for Bali, I can strengthen the Badung Cricket team in the Porprov event next year and I also hope to become a National Team player in the future,” she hoped.
Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi. expressed his gratitude and joy for the achievements achieved by the students of the PGSD UPPBM Denpasar Study Program in the XX Papua PON 2021.
“Firstly, I am very happy and grateful that one of the students from the Faculty of Education, especially the PGSD study program, was successful in getting a gold medal at XX PON in Papua,” he said proudly.
The number one person in the Faculty of Education said that the faculty leadership appreciates the outstanding students within FIP Undiksha.
“We will discuss it with fellow leaders, to give appreciation to one of the students who excelled at the XX PON event in Papua, yes, we have the intention to do that. Once again, I want us to give this child an award. “I also hope that in the future FIP Undiksha students will achieve more achievements,” she concluded.
