Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha accepted 6 students from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon (UMC) in the context of student exchange for the Independent Campus Competition Program (PK-KM). This program is a follow-up to the collaboration that has been established between FIP Undiksha and FKIP UMC. The student handover took place in the FIP Undiksha Study Program Meeting room which was attended by the Head of the Basic Education Department (Pendas) FIP Undiksha, Drs. I Made Suarjana, M.Pd., Coordinator of the PGSD FIP Undiksha Study Program, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., Chair of the MBKM FIP Undiksha Cluster, Dr. Putu Nanci Riastini, S.Pd., M.Pd., Chair of the UMC Quality Assurance Institute (LMP), Dr. Hj. Fitriah, M.A., along with the Head of the PGSD FKIP UMC Study Program, Widia Nur Jannah, M.Pd., on Monday (05/09/2022) afternoon.
After the activity, PGSD Study Program Coordinator, I Gede Margunayasa explained that this student exchange would last for one semester. He emphasized that in its implementation, apart from participating in academic activities, students will also be involved in non-academic activities, such as cultural introduction, character education, student activities, and so on. He also said that he hopes that in the future this program can continue to be implemented.
“I am happy that there are students from other universities attending lectures at FIP.Undiksha. “They will take part in academic activities in semester 5, approximately 20 credits and there are also non-academic activities,” said Margunayasa.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of LPM UMC, Hj. Fitriah said that this program was the first step towards establishing wider cooperation. He emphasized that the output obtained by students while studying at FIP ??Undiksha will be converted into course grades. He hopes that this program will be able to bring positive changes to students when they return to Muhammadiyah University Cirebon.
“We will convert the courses into courses in Cirebon. We hope that whatever the future activities at FIP ??Undiksha, our students can be included. “Hopefully this activity can provide a positive learning experience for students,” he hoped.
The same thing was also expressed by the Head of the UMC PGSD Study Program, Widia Nur Jannah. He emphasized that students would be able to learn more about the culture in Bali. Furthermore, he hopes that this program will be truly implemented and can run sustainably.
“The hope is that when these students are sent to study at FIP ??Undiksha, they will be able to get to know the cultures in Bali, especially in Singaraja. “Hopefully this exchange can be continued in the next even semester,” she said.
The PGSD FKIP UMC student representative, Shefira Mahardhika Nursahid admitted that she was happy to have been allowed to take part in the student exchange program at FIP.Undiksha. According to him, Bali has very strong customs, culture, and traditions, therefore, through this student exchange program, his party wants to dive deeper into the values ?? of diversity, tolerance, and culture that exist in Bali.
