Singaraja – Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha through the Basic Education Department Student Association (HMJ Pendas) again held a Regional Level Five Subject XVI Competition, the opening of which took place in the Undiksha FIP Seminar Room, on Saturday (29/10/2022) morning. The activity, which carries the theme of Creating the Nation’s Next Generation of Smart, Honest, and Skilled People through the XVIth Five Subjects Competition at the Primary School Level throughout Bali, competes for the Ganesha Education University Chancellor’s Rotating Cup.
Chairman of the Committee, I Dewa Gede Agus Kusuma Yoga explained, that hundreds of teams from various districts in Bali, will compete in the preliminary round on 30 October 2022. Next, the teams that qualify will take part in the semifinal and final rounds which will be held on 06 November 2022, centered in the FIP B Lecture Room and Postgraduate Auditorium.
“There are a total of 119 teams participating, consisting of 25 teams in the Singaraja rayon, 46 teams in the Denpasar rayon, 28 teams in the Jembrana rayon, and 20 teams in the Klungkung rayon. Participants will take part in the preliminary round in each rayon. “Then 12 teams will be selected for the semifinals,” said Dewa.
After opening the activity, the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., welcomed HMJ Pendas’ flagship activity positively. The number one person in FIP Undiksha emphasized that the leadership supports student programs that refer to national transformation. Support so far has been demonstrated by funding, coaching, and mentoring.
“We appreciate that this activity has been going on for 16 years, and the number of participants has even increased from the previous year. If possible, do it at the national level. “We have prepared funds and guidance to organize activities that lead to character development,” he concluded. (hms Dewa Nida)
