Singaraja – Student of Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha also participated Women’s Race Walk team 17 KM in order to celebrate the 77th Independent Day of the Republic of Indonesia which took place at Bhuana Patra Sport Arena, Singaraja on Wednesday (10/08/22). Made Selly Handayani Putri and Kadek Sintya Pratiwi (Danton) from Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) with the chest number 05 succeeded to make the name of the faculty glorious after achieving the 2nd consolation prize winner at the competition participated by 35 teams from senior high schools and colleges.
This achievement was not separated from the special training which took 1 month. When being confirmed, Kadek Sintya Pratiwi expressed his proud for being able to contribute in guarding “ Srikandi Undiksha” for the second time. “I was so proud even though Undiksha team achieved 2nd consolation prize winner, but Undiksha remains the winner in the heart of Buleleng society”, she said.
The same thing was also conveyed by Made Selly Handayani Putri. Selly, her familiar name, confessed that she was so proud being able to participate in this competition because it could raise fighting spirit, sense of unity, and togetherness. She also hoped that Undiksha Women’s Race Walk Team could perform the best every year. “So proud and excited for being able to give the best for the faculty and Undiksha, hopefully next year, Undiksha could perform its best team and achieve the maximum result” she hoped. This achievement obtained appreciation from the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs,Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., he thought that race walk competition on Indonesian Independent Day could nourish nationalism spirit and grow sense of patriotism.
“We as the leaders really appreciate the achievement obtained by the student of FIP Undiksha,of course this is very positive to grow nationalism and fighting spirit in the students self”, he said. (PR. Dewa Nida)
