Singaraja– A total of 859 new students from the Faculty of Education took part in the opening of the Faculty Introduction and Student Friendship and Harmony Period (MKKM) 2022, on Thursday (18/08/2022) morning. This activity, which was centered at the Gde Manik Singaraja Arts Building, was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of Department, Study Program Coordinator, Staff and Lecturers at FIP ??Undiksha.
This faculty introduction activity began with an introduction to the dean’s ranks, socialization of academics, infrastructure, and student affairs in the morning, then continued with a student community parade within FIP Undiksha, a display of student achievements, an introduction to BEM functionaries, and ended with an explanation of the scope of duties and functions BEM FIP Undiksha in the afternoon.
In his speech, Dean Gading emphasized character building and character development are very important to give birth to a superior and competitive generation. The number one person at FIP ??Undiksha also invited all new students to build togetherness and build commitment, as a step to improve the quality of the faculty at the national and international level. He hopes that in the future new students will be able to undergo the learning process well, graduate on time, and be absorbed in the world of work.
“We have to prepare the characters so that they can adapt to ongoing developments. “Apart from that, we will also build togetherness and commitment to improve the quality of the faculty in the future,” he said.
Chair of BEM FIP Undiksha, Ni Putu Putri Budiastini from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) said that in carrying out this activity, attitude and ethics are things that are highly emphasized. How could it not be, that the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in character degradation in students? Therefore, through this activity, it is hoped that students will be able to become strong and careful individuals.
“Due to the decline in character due to the pandemic, in this Faculty PKKMB activity, we emphasize character in students, so that in the future they can become individuals who are tough, careful, and don’t give up easily,” he hoped.
For your information, this activity will last for 2 (two) days which will end on Friday, (19/08/2022) with a series of seminar activities on the topic of National Defense which will be presented by Member of the Student Regiment (Menwa) Corie Agung Patricia, followed by material Sexual Harassment from the Undiksha Gendre Ambassador in 2021, Made Ratyudhi Harpin Dipawangsa, and the third material related to ZI-WBK/WBBM presented by the Chair of ZI-WBK/WBBM FIP Undiksha, who is also the Secretary of the Basic Education Department (Pendas), Dr. I Gede Astawan, S.Pd., M.Pd.(hms Dewa Nida)
