Singaraja –The 4.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Karangasem and Bangli Regencies, early Saturday, October 16, resulted in several fatalities, serious and minor injuries, and damage to infrastructure. As a form of concern for the earthquake victims in the two districts, the Department of Student Association (HMJ) and the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Education (FIP) participated in a social fundraising action initiated by the Student Executive Board, Student Republic, University of Education Ganesha (21/10/2021).
“This fundraising social action activity is a calling from BEM Rema Undiksha and the HMJ delegation and BEM Faculty within Undiksha, to help ease the burden on our brothers and sisters in Karangasem and Bangli due to the earthquake disaster a few days ago,” said Student President Kadek Andre Karisma Dewantara.
This activity was carried out around the red light in Singaraja City, while still implementing the Covid-19 health protocol. His party is also opening donations via accounts and several digital wallets, where the distribution will be in collaboration with the Indonesian Volunteer Society (MRI) which opened an emergency post several days ago.
Confirmed separately, the Chair of BEM FIP Undiksha, I Made Candra Wahyudi Putra, said that this fundraising activity was a form of concern for the community.
