Singaraja – The Faculty of Education continues to strive to improve the quality of higher education, to create superior and competitive human resources (HR). Through the Career Development Cluster, the Faculty of Education held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) related toTracer Study, on Thursday (14/04/22) morning. The activity which was held in the Study Program Meeting Room was attended directly by the Dean’s staff, Department Leaders, and lecturers within the Faculty of Education. On this occasion, present speakers from the DivisionTracer Study, Undiksha Student Career Development and Entrepreneurship Technical Implementation Unit (UPT PKKM), I Made Suarsana, S.Pd., M.Sc., explained thatTracer Study is a structured survey to determine the career development and absorption of graduates in the world of work.
“Tracer This is done systematically, using instrument standardized, scientific methods and then proper data analysis, so that later the results are reported “This can be used as a basis for larger policies,” he said.
Furthermore, he said that besides being important for graduates, attendanceTracer Study also plays an important role in fulfilling National policies relating to the Main Performance Indicators of Higher Education.
“So it is important to fill graduate tracer, The first is for the benefit of the graduates themselves, we on campus have it networking / network to the business world, so we can convey information related to the world of work to students. Then, from the data they fill in, we can use it to determine future policies, for example in the curriculum renewal process, then forms of coaching. Soft Skills “which students need to be ready to enter the world of work and also to support the fulfillment of National policies on Main Higher Education Performance Indicators,” he stressed.
In line with this, the Chair of the Career Development Group, Faculty of Education, Dr. I Made Citra Wibawa, S.Pd., M.Pd., targets implementation Study at the Faculty of Education, will be held in May by sendinginstrument to all alumni, recorded in the Higher Education Data Base (PD Dikti) in 2021, with a target of 85%. Supporting these achievements, his party together with the Career Development Group designed some strategies, including establishing coordination with the DivisionTracer Study as well as optimizing communication with alumni. He is optimistic that he will be able to reach the 80% target that has been planned.
“We are targeting at least May we will implement tracer Study by sending instruments to all alumni in 2021, and will be reported every 3 months in the FIP Undiksha Academic Info group. We will follow the targets set by the Institute, targeting 85%. In the future, we will continue to coordinate with the DivisionTracer Study, earlier there were also some inputs related to instruments that we will learn first, that’s the first thing.
