Singaraja – The Faculty of Education has once again triumphed on the international stage. This time the achievement came from the Indonesian International IoT Olympiad (I3O) event held by Muria Kudus University. Based on the information gathered, the series of events will take place from 8 to 22 May 2022, with around 200 teams participating from 14 countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Mexico, the United States, and so on.
I Gede Agus Sudiantara from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, together with a team consisting of I Ketut Adi Darma Yatra from the Mathematics Study Program, Luh Hanny Arsana Putri from the Mathematics Study Program, I Made Bhisma Putra Nugraha from the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program, I Made Kerisna Laksana from the Information Systems Study Program, with the guidance of I Putu Pasek Suryawan S.Pd., M.Pd., succeeded in winning a gold medal thanks to her innovative work in the category Education, with the product “B-Fiks: Interactive Literacy Learning Media To Strengthen The Alpha Generation’s Education Of Character During The Post Pandemic Era”.
This work is an innovative learning media that addresses the problem of low literacy in Indonesia. The team thought about solutions that could be used to increase literacy that could be integrated with online-based learning. This gold medal is the first achievement that has been achieved, this is also used as motivation to take part in other competitions, especially at the international level, said I Gede Agus Sudiantara when asked for information.
“Regarding this achievement, to be honest, this is my first achievement in participating in a competition at the international level. “The hope of me and the team in the future is that we can continue this achievement into other competitions so that later we can bring the name of the Faculty and University to an international level,” he said.
Confirmed via short message, Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., also expressed his appreciation for the achievements achieved through his hard work in making the faculty proud.
“The highest appreciation goes to PGSD students for being able to win a gold medal, this is the umpteenth achievement that the Faculty of Education has achieved. This will be very good for FIP Undiksha, to complete and prepare the Simkatmawa competition both within Undiksha and at the National level. “Hopefully in the future, he can become a mentor for his colleagues and juniors, to win competitions at national and international levels,” he concluded.
