Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha, through the Cooperation and Internationalization Group, continues to expand cooperation ties both domestically and abroad. This is to make FIP Undiksha superior in Asia, through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This time, FIP Undiksha welcomed a group of lecturers and students from Hiroshima University and the Indonesian Education University (UPI) Bandung, in connection with the Asian Campus Program with the theme “inclusion diversity”. His arrival was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., along with the staff at the FIP Undiksha Seminar Room (10/09/2022) morning.
This Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was signed directly by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., together with Assistant Prof. Dr. Vu Ha Thu, accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Asia Campus Coordinator, and UPI Bandung academic, Arif Hidayat, S.Pd., M.Si., and Chair of the Cooperation and Internationalization Cluster, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi ., M.Psi., Ph.D.
For information, the visit lasted for 3 days, starting with an International Lecture and Sharing Session and the Signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the first day, Saturday 10 September 2022. Followed by a cultural visit to Bengkala Village and Pedawa Village on Sunday, 11 September 2022. Then on the last day, Monday 12 September 2022, a visit to the Undiksha laboratory school, cooking class, follow-up discussion on research pilots/joint publications, STAR/Summer Camp, and ending with a closing ceremony from Hiroshima University and UPI Bandung, as follows. delivered by the chairman of the Cooperation and Internationalization Group, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D. According to him, this activity is a form of summer program in the context of introducing culture and community life in Bali. He hopes that through this program, students will have networking in the fields of education and culture both in Japan and at UPI Bandung.
“We will learn a lot from Hiroshima and UPI Bandung, mainly related to character education and peace education which are of course very relevant to the THK concept in Bali,” said Nice.
In his speech, Dean Gading positively welcomed this collaboration. He said that this field study activity supports the quality of lecturers, education staff, students, and also the quality of graduates at FIP ??Undiksha. Furthermore, the number one person in FIP Undiksha said that Hiroshima and UPI were benchmarks for success in the Faculty of Education. Therefore, the party hopes that in the future they can establish collaboration in the field of Tri Dharma of Higher Education, such as student exchanges, team teaching, joint research, publications, visiting professors, and visiting lecturers.
“This activity will support the quality of our education. “We hope that our graduates will have experience at the international level, in line with our vision,” hoped Gading.
Confirmed, the Head of the Undiksha Cooperation and Public Relations Agency, Made Windu Antara Kesiman, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., considered this to be a good program, to make Undiksha superior in Asia. He, who represented the Chancellor of Undiksha, said that the institution is ready to support and facilitate all immigration matters to bring foreign students to Indonesia. He hopes that this collaboration can be enlarged so that the cultural acculturation obtained is stronger.
“Japan is our target country to excel in Asia. “With the arrival of Hiroshima University at FIP, I think it will further strengthen Undiksha’s collaboration with Japan,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Asia Campus Coordinator, Arif Hidayat, said that this activity was a form of implementation of the MoA between Undiksha and UPI Bandung in terms of increasing internationalization. In line with that, Prof. Dr. Vu Ha Thu admitted that he enjoyed visiting Indonesia, which has thousands of tribes, cultures, religions, and customs. According to him, this is an attraction for studying in Indonesia. He hopes that this program can continue and develop together with all universities in Indonesia.
