Faculty introduction activities and MKKM (student familiarity and harmony period) are usually carried out once a year during the acceptance of new students at FIP ??Undiksha. This activity aims to introduce what campus life is like, especially at the Undiksha Faculty of Education, before students officially start studying on campus.
Usually, in this activity, participants will line up to fill the Undiksha Central Campus ceremony field, but looking at the conditions during the pandemic it seems that it does not support this activity to take place as in previous years. However, BEM FIP has not lost its mind, they have prepared a new concept that allows this activity to continue to be carried out. A concept designed online, as Diah (Chair of BEM FIP) said, “We designed the concept per online rules, both in giving and collecting assignments and delivering material by resource persons.”
The introduction of faculties is planned to be carried out after new student data is complete and per the implementation time of the University’s OKK. Carried out in one day, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon via one of the conference applications. After one day of introduction to the new faculty, they continued to MKKM. Regarding technical matters, from assignments to attributes, they remain the same as last year, “in terms of the assignments given, they are the same as last year, and the attributes are also the same, so new students will continue to use the attributes during the conference according to the rules,” explained Diah.
The 6th-semester student of the PDSD Study Program also explained that BEM FIP had prepared solutions to problems that might occur because it was done online, such as if there was no signal at the participant’s place. The participant had to make a statement signed by the local village head stating that it was true. there is no internet at that location. They also regret that this year they cannot hold a friendly evening which is usually held as a place for creativity for new students. Finally, Diah hopes that this activity can be carried out smoothly and will certainly be very impressive for new students.
