Singaraja– Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) students were again recorded as champions in the National level competition. This time it was from the Indonesian Student Scientific Work Competition (KISMIS), which took place on Saturday (06/08/2022). This achievement was presented by a team headed by I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta, from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), with members Luh Putriasih, from the Management Study Program, and Ni Luh Ayu Sundewi, from the English Language Education Study Program, with under the guidance of mentor, Ni Putu Kusuma Widiastuti, M.Pd., succeeded in winning first place.
The team leader, I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta, explained that the Android-based Interactive Comic Application (Apps-Koin) containing Balinese Paribasa was designed to optimize the local cultural literacy of students at SMP Negeri 4 Gerokgak. For your information, this innovation is different from comics in general, both in terms of design and manufacturing process, which aims to preserve the Balinese language amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He, who is famously called Angga, said that this achievement was his first achievement in the field of scientific writing, but this student, who is in semester 5, has already made several achievements, especially in the field of Arts. He also said that not only at the national level, but he is optimistic that in the future he will be able to win at the international stage. “I learned a lot from the scientific writing competition, and this achievement will be a stepping stone to be able to excel in the next competition, both at the national and international levels,” he hoped.
Furthermore, he invited all FIP Undiksha students to always develop their potential, so they can compete in various competitions. “Dear fellow students, let’s develop your potential, because that way we will be able to improve our skills to prepare us to enter the world of work later,” he said.
This brilliant achievement received appreciation from the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd. He, who represented the Dean, expressed his pride to the students who had fought to make FIP Undiksha proud in competitions on the national stage. He said that this was extraordinary in supporting the Simkatmawa Faculty ranking, as well as being able to increase the faculty’s competitiveness both on the national and international levels. “This achievement is very encouraging, we from the leadership give our appreciation to the students and supervisors for their success in achieving this achievement,” he concluded.
