Every year Undiksha admits new students. Undiksha opened new student registration routes consisting of 3 routes, namely SNMPTN, UTBK-SBMPTN, and SMBJM. After SNMPTN ended on Sunday (5/7/2020), UTBK-SBMPTN was underway at Ganesha University of Education. The implementation of the first wave of UTBK-SBMPTN will last until Thursday (9/7/2020). The application of social distancing and the use of PPE must be observed by 1,527 participants.
Likewise, each study program is preparing to accept new students. One of them is the Educational Technology Study Program which is ready to accept new students according to the statement of the Coordinator of the Educational Technology Study Program, Dr. I Komang Sudarma, S.Pd., M.Pd, “We at the study program are very ready to accept new students, we have prepared a maximum of 2 study rooms in the Educational Technology study program. Apart from that, there is also a multimedia room, meaning that from the classrooms we are ready to indicate that we are ready to accept new students.”
This study program, which was established in 1996 and has been accredited by A, has 136 students. This year, it is targeted that 50 new students will register for the Educational Technology study program. 50 people were selected so that learning could be carried out in a conducive manner. Sudarma said that based on information 11 people had re-registered on the SNMPTN route and were currently waiting for the results from the SBMPTN and SMBJM routes. According to him, this number is the highest compared to previous years, which was usually 6 to 8 people.
Apart from that, to welcome new students, the Education Technology Study Program has prepared an online-based learning system during this pandemic. During this pandemic, the Educational Technology study program actually did not experience any significant obstacles, which actually made this study program even more viable. “Covid-19 is also a ‘blessing’ for TP because this is where the existence of TP is really needed, namely how to design online learning and that is TP science,” said Sudarma.
The preparations made by the Education Technology study program are online learning using e-learning and the Zoom application. He said that effective online learning had been prepared with the tools, “We took the initiative to rent the Zoom application for 1 year, the funding for which came from friends at the TP Study Program. This is done because they are committed to providing the best to students.” In essence, Sudarma hopes that many of the best prospective students will choose the Educational Technology study program.
