Singaraja – The Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha, held a hybrid Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Evaluation and Reporting of the Simkatmawa Cluster of FIP Undiksha in 2022 which was centered in the Undiksha FIP Seminar Room, Friday (9/12/2022) by inviting the speakers namely the Deputy Dean of FMIPA UNNES , Dr. Parmin, S.Pd., M.Pd., the UGM Academician, Suherman, S.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Belmawa Staff, Alamul Huda, S.Ip., M.Hum.,
This activity was attended directly by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., accompanied by Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Department Heads, and Coordinators of the Study Program at FIP Undiksha. Besides providing material from the speakers, the activity was also filled with awarding certificates to the outstanding student supervisors, namely Drs. I Wayan Sujana, M.Pd., and I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta from the PGSD Study Program, as the best achieving students in 2022.
In his remarks, the Dean of FIP, Prof. Gading who represented Undiksha Vice Rector III said that he appreciated the achievements of FIP students throughout 2022.
“Student achievement has been relatively good, compared to other faculties at Undiksha. But the achievement is not optimal yet, and we have to improve it again, “he said.
Furthermore, this number one person in the Faculty of Education emphasized that the leadership continues to strive to improve the achievements of the upcoming Simkatmawa. The steps to be taken certainly are coaching and mentoring, in order to build student character and competence.
“I think this activity is an effort to improve what has not been good in the past. Because the quality of graduates is not only determined by lectures, but also in non-academic fields,” continued Gading.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Committee, I Made Hendra Sukmayasa, M.Pd., assessed that student achievement scores had increased significantly from previous years, although there were several things that the Simkatmawa Cluster team focused on, in order to maximize the achievements of the upcoming Simkatmawa.
“This year’s achievements are quite satisfactory, it has increased but we need to improve it again, especially in student participation. I hope that the lecturers in charge of the subject can oblige students to take part in various competitions,” hoped Hendra.
To Public Relations, I Gusti Komang Agus Angga Putra Widiarta, expressed his pride after being named the best achieving student. He, who is familiarly called Angga, said that this achievement was the result of hard work and smart work that was carried out for a year. Furthermore, he hopes that in the future he will be able to gain more achievements, especially in the international arena.
“Obviously I am very happy to be in this position. I would like to advise my fellow students to always work and train their soft skills. In the future, I hope to achieve even more achievements,” he said. (PR Dewa Nida)
