Singaraja – After Covid-19 Pandemic decreased, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held Campus Life Orientation for New Students (PKKMB) 2022 via live on Monday (August15th, 2022), centered at Ceremony Field of Undiksha Middle Campus. The event was officially opened by Undiksha Rector, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., directly attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Department Head and Study Program Coordinator at Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha.
Based of the compiled information, PKKMB which was held from August 15th until August 22nd 2022 was participated by more than 3500 new students, i.e. 859 students from the Faculty of Education, specifically 731 students from Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), 58 students from Guidance and Counselling (BK), 37 students from Early Childhood Teacher Education (PGPAUD), and 33 students from Education Technology (TP), that was mentioned by the chief of the committee, Ketut Yudi Darma Saputra.
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., warmly welcomed the arrival of new students at the Faculty of Education Undiksha, he on behalf of the Dean invited all new students to build the faculty with discipline, hard, smart and collaborative work in order to realize the faculty become trendsetter faculty in national event.
“Welcome the new student of FIP Undiksha, hopefully, your study can run smoothly, use the lectures well, and dig deep in knowledge. In the future, in the implementation, maybe it would be interspersed with online learning so that Blended Learning will happen”, he said.
The President of Student Republic of Undiksha, Febry Sugiantara conveyed that PKKMB this year did not apply hazing, he assessed that character could be built by various ways but not with hazing, he also wanted that in the implementation of PKKMB this year could create harmony as the implementation of Tri Hita Karana. “We think hazing has no meaning, there is no value that we can gain from it”, he concluded.
