Singaraja – The Faculty of Education (FIP) continues to improve infrastructure in order to realize more effective learning, not only on the Singaraja campus but also on the UPPBM Denpasar campus. Supporting it, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) built a college building located on Jalan Raya Sesetan, Denpasar. On the occasion, the dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., along with the vice deans accompanying the rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., and the ranks in the inauguration of the college building which was marked by the groundbreaking on Friday (02/09/2022) morning.
On this occasion, Rector Jampel explained that the development budget is sourced from non-tax State Revenue (PNBP) Public Service Agency (BLU) Undiksha, worth Rp. 17 billion. It was also conveyed that the construction of this three-story building is expected to be completed in December 2022. He emphasized that this infrastructure’s improvement is to realize a comfortable, safe, and of course representative learning process.
“We want a teaching and learning building, the construction of which is sourced from PNBP BLU Undiksha, to qualify as a lecture hall, which according to the contract we can use in January 2023”, he said.
This development was positively welcomed by the dean of FIP Undiksha, I Ketut Gading. He assessed that the realization of this building, of course, it can add facilities to support the needs of students in Denpasar. Furthermore, his party hopes that this development can go according to plan hence later it can be maintained and utilized properly by the academic community at UPPBM Denpasar.
“We hope that our service in the future will be better, thus the learning process can take place well, and the quality of graduates will also increase,” he hoped.
The number one person in the Faculty of Education also hopes that the Denpasar campus can continue to be developed, to open new prospective study programs in order to improve superior and competitive Human Resources (HR).
“Hopefully Denpasar campus can open a new prospective study program, certainly not only in FIP but also for other faculties and postgraduate”, he concluded.
To note, this building carries the concept ‘Green Campus’ with a flexible design, equipped with 19 teaching and learning rooms, lecturer rooms, courtrooms, and libraries, said the consultant Development Planner, Ar. Ari Setiya Wibawa, S.T., M.M., I.AI., GP.
“Undiksha bases its entire construction on a green campus design that is certainly energy efficient, so this building does not cost much when it is operated,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Undiksha physical commitment-making official (PPK), I Gede Supriyadi, is optimistic that this project can be completed according to the target that has been set with a three-shift work guarantee. Supporting it, it involves the monitoring team in order to expedite the implementation of this development. “We ask for support from all parties in making this development, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations,” said Supriyadi.
