Denpasar – Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) students continue to be committed to showing their existence on the national stage, this is an effort to realize the Faculty of Education to become a faculty Trendsetter, one of which is through the Student Creativity Program (PKM). After receiving PKM-PM funding in 2022, Undiksha FIP student innovation mentored by Drs. I Wayan Sujana, S.Pd., M.Pd., entitled “Realizing Dreams Through Collaborative Training of Deaf and Blind Children in Demonstrating Dance Creativity using the Mouth Gamelan (Gamut) at State 1 Special Schools (SLB) & Special Special Schools (SLB) ) Negeri 2 Denpasar”, is now entering the PKM Implementation Progress Assessment (PKP2) stage, by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti).
Supporting this, the team chaired by Ni Pande Kadek Dewi Sudiartini, with members Ni Kadek Trisna Putri Utami, Ni Made Windya Candrayani, Ni Kadek Feby Widianita from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), and Bhavanii Devi from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) , made a collaborative video of Gamelan Mouth and Pendet Dance performed by Deaf and Blind students, on Saturday (06/08/2022) as an effort to strengthen innovation in the upcoming PKP2 assessment, said the team leader, Ni Pande Kadek Dewi Sudiartini. He hopes that through this activity it can increase the confidence of persons with disabilities. More than that, he hopes that this innovation can appear at the prestigious National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) in 2022.
“Based on the research we did, there is a problem, namely the lack of self-confidence of students. So with this collaboration, it is hoped that we can overcome these problems, because we believe that behind their shortcomings, they must have extraordinary advantages, “he said.
In line with that, Supervisor Drs. I Wayan Sujana, S.Pd., M.Pd., conveyed that the ideas put into this innovative work were considered a unique breakthrough. His party also always directs and guides student activities, in order to improve the achievement of Main Performance Indicators (IKU) and Student Ranking Management Information Systems (Simkatmawa) faculties at the national level.
“This Gamelan Mouth is something that can be said to be rare, therefore we are reviving this idea to be able to compete in the upcoming PIMNAS. We will optimize students at UPPBM Denpasar to contribute to improving the IKU and Simkatmawa faculties,” he hoped.
This activity was welcomed proudly by the Head of UPPBM Denpasar, Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Gede Agung, M.Pd., “I am proud of this innovation, the collaboration of the Pendet Dance from the Deaf accompanied by the oral gamelan from the Blind is an extraordinary thing, hopefully it can compete in PIMNAS, so that we can add IKU faculty points”, he concluded.
