Karangasem –Students of the Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha who are the members the Capacity Strengthening Program Team (PPK) Ormawa Student Association of the Department of Elementary Education (HMJ Pendas) were innovating again in order to realize a smart Tianyar Village. The steps taken were not only improving the quality of education, but also being intensified in the economic sector. This time the team fostered by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., held a training on making Ingka and its marketing, located at the residence of one of the residents, on Monday (10/17/2022) local time.
Being confirmed, team leader Made Nirmala Karunika Sari from the PGSD Study Program said that the main commodity in Tianyar Village is the palm tree fronds, therefore the local village community uses it as a selling item, one of which is Ingka. But conditions in the field, product marketing is still carried out conventionally. For this reason, she and the team initiated marketing through social media, as an effort to boost economic growth in Tianyar Village.
“Our targets are housewives and the elderly. Hopefully, through this ingka making and marketing training, they can increase their sales,” she said. For information, the ingka made is spiked with varnish to make it look bright and durable. The size also varies, ranging from small with a diameter of 4 cm to a large size with a diameter of 8 cm.
