Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha continues to innovate in order to increase the achievement of Main Performance Indicators (IKU) for Higher Education. This time, in the Matching Fund program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) as a real form of collaboration and synergy between universities and partners through the Kadaireka platform. Supporting this, the Faculty of Education held a Sharing Session activity by presenting expert staff at Jenderal Soedirman University (UNSOED) Sugiyono, S.Sc., Ph.D. The activity which took place in the Undiksha FIP Study Program Meeting room, Thursday (12/01/2023) was also attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I.
His presence was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Basic Education Department, Drs. After the activity, Sugiyono said this program was a breakthrough by the government in order to connect universities with the industrial world (DUDI) to be able to synergize together.
“So a university with the resource of expertise it has, the external potential of good research, that should have a contribution to solving the problems that exist in society as well as in the business world. the externality is clear, the commercialized product or the externality that is used by the community” he explained.
He further emphasized that in order to qualify for the program, the Faculty of Education must identify real research outcomes that can be utilized by the wider community. He said that the role of institutions and stakeholders was very important in realizing this Matching Fund program.
“If this can be followed up, then I am sure that FIP ??will be able to jump quickly, can produce good outcomes, and be recognized by the community and I think as long as we can follow the guidelines and make proposals well, then this program will be able to run and this requires cooperation from everyone parties,” he continued.
FIP Undiksha’s steps to continue to innovate received a positive response from Vice Chancellor I, Prof. Rasben Dantes. He said support was shown through assistance and funding. He hopes that this multi-disciplinary program can be collaborated with the academic community who have cross-disciplinary knowledge within Undiksha, as a form of real contribution to society and the nation.
“The university fully supports the lecturers in being able to propose this program. I think there will be funding sharing from the University. Apart from that, we will also provide assistance to lecturers who want to propose Matching Fund proposals. So, I ask friends to collaborate with other colleagues who have different knowledge,” concluded Rasben Dantes. (hms Dewa Nida)
