Singaraja– Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) students, on behalf of Gede Pasek Maha Putra, Komang Agus Ari Wibawa from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), and I Wayan Gede Darsana from the Educational Technology Study Program (TP) who are members of the Walk Team Adult Men’s 45 Kilometers, succeeded in making the alma mater proud by winning third place. Rector of Undiksha, who is also an academic at the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., released the best campus pride team in North Bali, by starting at the Public Square in Celukan Bawang Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency on Sunday, (14/08/2022) evening. This category also concludes a series of walking competitions organized by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Buleleng Regency, to celebrate the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
The fighting spirit of the team with breast number 12 bore sweet fruit, how could it not be, after undergoing special training for approximately 1 (one) month, the Undiksha squad recorded a score of 886.83 and became the first team to successfully touch the finish line with a complete formation at the Sports Arena ( GOR) Bhuana Patra, Singaraja.
Confirmed, I Wayan Gede Darsana expressed his pride in being able to contribute his first achievement to the faculty and institution. Young Ganesha, Faculty of Education, hopes that Undiksha can increase its championship title in the coming years. “In the future, I hope that Undiksha’s progress will progress further and be able to maintain and even improve its championship title,” he said.
This achievement received full appreciation from the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., who represents the Dean of FIP Undiksha, said that the walking competition on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia was able to foster the spirit of Nationalism and was considered to foster a sense of love for the Motherland. “We at the leadership appreciate the achievements achieved by FIP Undiksha students, of course, this is a very positive thing, to foster a sense of Nationalism and a spirit of struggle within the students,” he concluded.
