Singaraja – The Department of Basic Education (Pendas) FIP Undiksha, through the Pendas Department Student Association (HMJ) held the 2022 Harmony Day event, which was opened on Saturday, (20/08/2022) morning, at the Gde Manik Singaraja Arts Building. This activity is a series of Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at the Department level. On this occasion, the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., accompanied by the Secretary of the Department of Basic Education (Pendas), Dr. I Gede Astawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Coordinator of PGSD Study Program, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., Coordinator of PGPAUD Study Program, Putu Rahayu Ujianti, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist., with Lecturers in the Department of Pendas.
The opening, which carries the theme “Through Harmony Day Activities, Let’s Realize Harmony in the Dress of Tri Hita Karana to Form Students who are Active, Collaborative, Characteristic, and Highly Dedicated towards Advanced and Harmonious Departments of Basic Education”, began with the introduction of lecturers majoring in basic education, PGSD Study Program academic socialization by the PGSD Coordinating Study Program, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., and academic socialization of PGPAUD study program by the PGPAUD Study Program Coordinator, Putu Rahayu Ujianti, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist., in the morning, followed by an introduction to HMJ functionaries Pendas and ended with an art performance in the middle of the afternoon, said the head of the organizing committee, Komang Yogi Adipranata from the PGSD study program.
In his remarks, Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., proudly welcomed the arrival of new students at the Faculty of Education. He who represents the Dean of FIP Undiksha hopes that new students will be able to explore the potential to achieve their vision going forward. It was also said that the presence of these new students was expected to be at the forefront of improving achievement, in order to realize FIP Undiksha to become a faculty Trendsetter. “New students must be able to forge themselves well, and must try to absorb knowledge, to be able to compete in the world of work. My hope is that they will be able to become fighters in the excellence of FIP Undiksha, of course by achieving,” he said.
After the activity, the Head of HMJ Pendas I Made Sukiana from the PGSD Study Program said that his party and staff were very enthusiastic in welcoming new students to FIP Undiksha. He further emphasized that this activity was carried out as an effort to build character for new students. “Besides aiming to introduce the Department of Basic Education to new students, we also carry out this activity to shape the character of students, with the hope that during lectures they will have good character and discipline outcomes,” he hoped. For information, this activity lasts for 2 days, which will end on Sunday, (21/08/2022) with a series of scientific writing socialization activities with resource person I Made Hendra Sukmayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., followed by presentation material related to disciplinary action presented by I Kadek Edi Yudiana, S.Pd., M.Pd.
