Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha accepted 6 students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon (UMC) in the context of student exchange for the Independent Campus Competition Program (PK-KM). This program is a follow-up to the collaboration that has been established between FIP Undiksha and FKIP UMC. The student handover took place in the FIP Undiksha Study Program Meeting room which was attended by the Head of the FIP Undiksha Basic Education Department, Drs. I Made Suarjana, M.Pd., Coordinator of the PGSD FIP Undiksha Study Program, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the MBKM FIP Undiksha Cluster, Dr. Putu Nanci Riastini, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the UMC Quality Assurance Institute (LMP), Dr. Hj. Fitriah, MA, along with the Head of the UMC FKIP PGSD Study Program, Widia Nur Jannah, M.Pd.,
After the activity, the PGSD Study Program Coordinator, I Gede Margunayasa explained that this student exchange would last for one semester. He emphasized that in practice, apart from participating in academic activities, students will also be involved in non-academic activities, such as cultural introduction, character education, student activities, and so on. Also conveyed, it hopes that later this program can continue to run.
“I am happy that there are students from other universities taking lectures at FIP ??Undiksha. They will take part in academic activities in semester 5, there are approximately 20 credits and there are also non-academic activities,” said Margunayasa.
Meanwhile, the chairman of LPM UMC, Hj. Fitriah revealed that this program was the first step to be able to establish wider cooperation. She stressed that the output obtained by students while studying at FIP ??Undiksha would be converted into course grades. She hopes that through this program she will be able to bring positive changes to students when they return to the C
“We will convert the courses into courses at the University of Muhammadiyah Cirebon. We hope that whatever activities will be held at FIP ??Undiksha, our students can be included. Hopefully, this activity can provide a positive learning experience for students,” he hoped.
The same thing was also expressed by the Head of PGSD UMC Study Program, Widia Nur Jannah. She emphasized that students would be able to get to know more about the culture in Bali. Furthermore, she hopes that this program is actually implemented and can run continuously.
“The hope is that when these students are sent to study at FIP ??Undiksha, they can get to know the cultures in Bali, especially in Singaraja. Hopefully, this exchange can be continued in the next semester” he said.
Representative of PGSD FKIP UMC students, Shafira Mahardhika Nursahid said she was happy to have been allowed to take part in the student exchange program at FIP Undiksha. According to her, Bali has very strong customs, culture, and traditions. For this reason, through this student exchange program, her party wants to dive deeper into the values of diversity, tolerance, and culture in Bali.
