Singaraja– Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha continues to strive to create students and graduates who are competitive, not only in the academic field but also in terms of entrepreneurship. To support this, various efforts have been made, one of which is through an entrepreneurship seminar hosted by the Basic Education Department Student Association (HMJ Pendas). This activity, which carries the theme “Get Ready to be a Young Entrepreneur” Dare to Start a Business and Succeed at a Young Age, presents the owner of Krisna Souvenir Khas Bali, Gusti Ngurah Anom, as a resource person with 180 participants consisting of active FIP Undiksha students and the general public. The activity, which was centered in the Sasana Budaya Singaraja Building, was officially opened by the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., on Monday (26/09/2022) afternoon.
The chairman of the committee, Ni Ketut Novita Sari from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), explained that apart from fulfilling the entrepreneurship course, holding this activity also aims to raise the enthusiasm of the younger generation for entrepreneurship so that they can move the wheels of the economy in society.
“Hopefully this activity can motivate students and the general public to start a business,” she said.
The Chairman of HMJ Pendas, I Made Sukiana, also expressed the same thing. Together with the staff, he is always committed to designing work programs that support the achievement of the faculty’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU). The number one person at HMJ Pendas hopes that in the future similar activities can continue to be developed, of course in collaboration with the faculty.
“We from HMJ, indeed designed this activity to support the faculty’s IKU. “I hope that later this activity can be developed into an entrepreneurship exhibition,” continued Sukiana.
In presenting his material, Gusti Ngurah Anom appreciated the enthusiasm of students and the general public in entrepreneurship. He, who is familiarly called Ajik Krisna, emphasized that commitment, hard work, and honesty are big capital that an entrepreneur must have.
“I see that during this pandemic, young people have to innovate more, by utilizing technology to be successful in the world of entrepreneurship,” he said.
He also said that he invited the millennial generation to continue to explore their potential in starting a business so that they would be at the forefront of economic recovery in Bali in particular and in Indonesia in general.
“The hope is that the more entrepreneurs there are in Bali, the more the economy will develop, and poverty will decrease,” continued Ajik Krisna.
This event was welcomed by the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd. He assessed that this activity supports the achievement of IKU 2 universities. For this reason, he emphasized that the faculty leadership supports and facilitates students to enter the business world. This support is demonstrated by funding, coaching, and mentoring, through the Business and Entrepreneurship Cluster.
“We have an Entrepreneurship Laboratory, this must be a Learning Center for students. “We have prepared incentives for students who can open a business, even if it is small,” stressed Aditya.
The Deputy Dean, who is also involved in the business world, said that this event was an extraordinary momentum for students to enter the business world. He hopes that through this activity, many young entrepreneurs will be born from graduates of the Undiksha Faculty of Education.
“This seminar should be a precursor to young entrepreneurs. “Hopefully it can inspire so that in the future many FIP students will become young entrepreneurs,” he concluded. (hms Dewa Nida)
