Jakarta – Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha again started its achievements in the World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2022, held by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA), on July 17-20, 2022. The team consisted of Putu Wulan Libriani from Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), Putu Vijanitha Datha from Accounting Study Program, Made Viveka Kumari Datha & Andika Pratama from English Language Education, Ni Putu Ayu Yuli Sumadianti from Accounting Study Program, I Putu Tesa Putra from Chemistry Study Program won gold medals in Environment category and Doza Srekja Macedonia Special Award, as well as silver medals in Social Science and Special Award categories.
On that occasion, Wulan Libriani joined two categories with a work entitled KAKI KITA FOUNDATION: Implementing Green Economy Through Integrated Plastic Waste Management To Reduce Environmental Pollution and Ecological Scarcity which is for Environment category, and Improving Equality Through Empowerment of People with Disabilities As Workers of the Kaki Kita Foundation in Creating a Disability-Friendly Creative Industry for the Social Science category. It was explained that the innovation work initiated in line with the application of the concept of Tri Hita Karana (THK). “We raised a product of 1,000 glasses for people with disabilities made from plastic waste to protect the environment and as alternative in handling environmental pollution”, he explained.
It is also said that this achievement is a great capital to participate in various competitions in the future international events, in order to support this, he always continues to innovate and improve his quality, in order to be able to boost more achievements for FIP Undiksha “I am proud to represent faculties and universities in this international event. The future Target is hopefully I am able to participate in similar competitions abroad, with the hope of getting medals as many as possible”, he said.
This achievement received full appreciation from the dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi. According to him, this is very extraordinary, in order to support the rank of faculty’s SIMKATMAWA in the future. Furthermore, he considered that this achievement is very important to improve the competitiveness of the faculty both nationally and internationally. “This achievement is very encouraging, we as the leaders give appreciation to students and lecturers for their success in achieving this achievement”, he said.
The same thing was also expressed by the Vice Dean of Students and Alumni affais, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., he said that FIP Undiksha continues to strive to improve international achievements. The taken steps are maximizing coaching and mapping the potential of students. “We always facilitate the students as the way to maximize FIP Undiksha capacity in various competitions”, he concluded.
